Parking Has Become a Problem

Unfortunately, parking abuses have become an ongoing problem for the neighborhood. To refresh everyone's memory, the spaces marked "Guest" are for guests, not residents. Residents (owners and renters) are allowed to park in their garages or on their driveways only. If your driveway is full, park along 160th. And be sure your guests use the guest spaces; don't move your car to a guest space and have your guests park on your driveway.

Consider guest parking an asset to be shared among all residents for the exclusive use of their guests. Be courteous and keep those spaces available so they're free when they're needed. If you need a refresher on parking do's and don'ts, check the parking regulations in the Rules. If it surprises you to learn that there are restrictions on guest usage as well, you need to read the Rules again.

PARKING ON A SIDEWALK WILL RESULT IN AN IMMEDIATE TOW OR FINE.

The driveways and roads are built to support the weight of vehicles; the sidewalks are not. They collapse. Really. It has happened. And if your neighbor causes it, you get to pay for the repairs. So if you spot anyone, resident or contractor, parked on the sidewalk, tell a board member immediately.

PARKING IN A FIRE LANE WILL RESULT IN AN IMMEDIATE TOW OR FINE.

Public safety comes first. Anyone who parks in a fire lane does so for the sake of their own convenience and puts our selves and our property at risk. People who park on the curbs in the fire lanes not only create a hazard; they make all of us pay for it as they drive over the irrigation sprinkler heads and break them.

Some Units Have Extra Spaces

As you may have noticed, some parking spaces in what appear to be common areas are designated parking for particular units. These spaces were sold or designated by the developer for the following reasons:

  • Unit 203 purchased the stalls adjacent unit (labeled with a sign).
  • Unit 1101 purchased the extra space next to unit driveway (looks like it's part of the driveway -- no sign).
  • Units 2901, 3004, 3501 and 3604 are handicapped-accessible units that came with a one-car garage. Intracorp created the second parking space at the end of the common drives for those specific units. Ownership signage designates which spaces belong to which units.

In total, six units own extra spaces. It is not possible to purchase any additional spaces.
